Campus weekends and move-in season
West Texas A&M sets the rhythm in Canyon, and move-in week fills every lot on the north side of town. Tailgates and home games bring Canyon banks of standard units with deluxe flushing units at the hospitality tents. An ADA accessible unit goes in every Canyon cluster, set on asphalt near the lot entrance.
Student housing construction around Canyon runs through the summer so it can finish before classes resume. A Canyon housing job usually takes one standard unit and a handwashing station per phase on weekly service.
State park season and the 217 corridor
Palo Duro Canyon State Park pulls traffic through Canyon from March to October, and the outdoor musical fills the amphitheater lot most summer nights. Group events and trail work near the Canyon rim take units staged at the pull-offs rather than on soft ground. Handwashing stations go beside the Canyon food trucks and concession trailers at those events.
The road down into the Canyon is steep and narrow, and a loaded service truck needs a planned turnaround before it commits. We set Canyon units at the top or at a marked wide spot where the driver has room.
Courthouse square and municipal work
The Canyon square hosts markets, holiday events and small festivals that close streets for a day at a time. A Canyon square event usually takes four standard units staked at the curb line and out of the driving lanes. Street, water and park projects around Canyon keep single units on site for a week or two.
Wind across the Canyon flats will shift anything that is not weighted, so every placement here gets staked. That one step keeps a Canyon unit upright through a spring afternoon of steady gusts.
